Server Support

We supply, install, maintain, and support a wide range of servers including Dell, HP and IBM. We hold in stock some common spare parts like RAID Cards and Hard Disks, but we find that the vast majority of our clients will have a Manufacturer’s Server Warranty. A server support warranty can be anything up to 5 years , and often represent excellent value, ranging from a Next Business Day (NBD) support agreement, to a 24x7 4-hour on site response.

Active server health can often be overlooked. Modern servers have built in health monitoring features that run continuously. They can proactively provide alerts for all kinds of faults, often before they have a critical impact. These can include Server Temperature, Possible Hard Disk failure, Memory Errors, Power Supply Failures and Network Card problems. In order to support a server professionally these alerts need to be configured properly and responded to correctly. We monitor all our client’s servers 24x7 using our Proactive Warning Service.

When we install or replace sever equipment is it would usually be configured and hot-tested offsite to ensure minimum disruption and downtime during installation. Most faults arise within the first 24 hours of the server being powered up for the first time, therefore all servers will be run for at least 48 hours in our offices prior to delivery.
