Website Case Study: Thermopacks

Overview

Thermopacks® are a specialist UK manufacturer of bespoke heat packs, cold packs and liquid filled products. These medical grade packs are re-usable phthalate free and offers large branding areas. Thermopacks® supply to marketing, medical and promotional industries across Europe and United Kingdom.

Requirements

As a specialist in manufacturing creative products for various marketing campaigns, the challenge was to create a website that tells a story how you can incorporate a branding with a functional product. The site should be informative and differentiate why Thermopacks® is different from different gel packs available almost anywhere. An organised structure highlighting the benefits and classifications of the different types of gel packs and how businesses can benefit from using these products as a marketing material. Informative, classic and clean!

Our Approach

Keeping Thermopacks®’ approach to marketing, we visualised the pages to highlight a gallery of the manufactured gel packs with their client’s branding. Furthermore, majority of the images selected were functional like a coldpack wrapped around a soda can to keep it cool, a heat pack as a wine warmer, and more.

The product range were divided into four sections namely Thermopacks® (Heat Packs), Cold Packs, Liquid Filled and Therapy. Each page has its own image gallery placed on top, with a series of description with valuable information regarding each range. A visible ‘contact us’ button and a link to complete image gallery is placed on the right side for easier access.

To keep the customers up to date, a news section was created. Various promotions and activities of Thermopacks® are published in this section with a social networking widget for faster social sharing functions.

Various Joomla extensions were used such as K2 Blog for the news section, Blank Module and DirectPHP for flexible content handling, Phoca Gallery for the image galleries, FlexiContact for the contact form.
